Madrid Design Festival 2023

The capital will host the sixth edition of the international Madrid Design Festival from 7 February to 9 April 2023, focusing on sustainability and with Seville as the guest city.

Once again this year this festival will showcase national and international creative talent through 28 exhibitions and installations spread throughout the city and will host the exhibition "Sombra Iluminada" (Illuminated Shadow), which will take visitors on a journey through the current state of Sevillian design, with a selection of over 100 pieces that fuse the past with the present.

The fabric of local design in Madrid will shine with its own light in the city's numerous museums and spaces and will also incorporate for the first time the Fiesta Design initiative, from 15 to 26 February, which will connect activities such as the Madrid Design Festival Awards or the MadridDesignPRO professional conferences. The latter will feature the presence of great creators of national and international design, a programme of conferences, master classes and networking where design professionals will reflect on the capacity of this discipline to transform and improve society.

Madrid will once again become the capital of design to recognise the excellence and transcendence of the work of designers (especially young designers) thanks to a wide variety of exhibitions, meetings, workshops and conferences, as well as an extensive programme of activities featuring specialists and professionals from the sector.

In 2023, the festival will have the Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa as its main venue, which will be joined by other spaces such as the Cerralbo Museum, the National Museum of Decorative Arts, Matadero Madrid, CaixaForum Madrid, the ICO Museum or the Palace of Santa Bárbara, among others.

The programme will also include the OFF Festival, which is the heart of Madrid Design Festival, with a multidisciplinary proposal of activities for all audiences, with showrooms, shops, concept-stores, craft workshops, galleries and creative spaces.

Check out the full programme, enjoy the capital city's commitment to design.
