Accommodation

Madrid is a tourist destination that stands out for its important historical and artistic heritage, its intense cultural activity, its open and tolerant character, offering a wide range of tourist proposals, both in its urban environment as well as in its rural and nature areas.

This is why Madrid has become one of the preferred destinations for the LGBTI community, developing an extensive network of hotel accommodation of different types for all types of travellers and budgets, in some cases, exclusively aimed at the LGTBI community, as well as hotels for the general public that show a sensitive treatment in which everyone can feel welcome. These establishments stand out because they display the rainbow flag at their entrances or on their websites. Independent establishments stand out, but also those of well-known chains such as: AC, Aloft, Axel, Barceló, Best Western, Catalonia, Eurostars, H10, Hard Rock, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Hyatt, Iberostar, Ibis, Ilunion, Indigo, Marriott, Meliá, NH, Only You, Pestana, Riu, Room Mate, Sercotel, Travelodge, Vincci, VP and Westin.

Most are concentrated in the central district, distributed among its different neighbourhoods: Palacio, Embajadores, Cortes, Justicia, Universidad and Sol, reaching its maximum density around Gran Vía, Atocha street and the Chueca area. Other important concentrations are around the pº de la Castellana and the business area of Madrid, the Salamanca district and around Barajas airport.

LGTBI friendly establishments are also spread throughout the community, making it even easier to enjoy our World Heritage sites, the Villas de Madrid, as well as our rich natural environment.

Beyond the city of Madrid, LGTBI accommodation is mainly concentrated in the towns of Alcalá de Henares, Getafe, Las Rozas, Pozuelo de Alarcón, Rivas Vaciamadrid, San Sebastián de los Reyes and Torrejón de Ardoz.
