Open House Madrid architecture festival celebrates its ninth edition

The ninth edition of the Open House Madrid festival will be held from September 21 to 24. This international meeting around architecture and the city will allow citizens, tourists and visitors to know, through guided or virtual tours, some unique buildings and renowned architectural firms.

This ninth edition has the slogan "Architecture with soul" and its main objective is to bring architecture closer to citizens, so immersive experiences, dialogues and participation take on a special role.

During these days, it will be possible to visit emblematic buildings that are usually closed to the public. This is the case of the Spanish Cultural Heritage Institute, a building designed by Fernando Higueras and Antonio Miró that is one of the most significant works of contemporary Spanish architecture and was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 2001.

The Maudes Palace or Larra 14 are other of the 90 buildings that can be visited during these four days. Since it began its journey in 2015, it has brought together more than 330,000 visitors and has established itself as the architecture event of reference in Spain.
