The Community of Madrid has a lot to offer. Beyond the city and its streets there are countless free proposals to connect with nature, learn and, above all, have a good time. Who said that in winter you can't have fun?
February 27 is World Polar Bear Day and the best way to commemorate this majestic animal is to bring it closer to the public for them to enjoy and learn. For this, a workshop will be held at 11 am where crafts will be made with recycled materials and creativity will be given free rein.
Monitoring of nesting boxes
Winter is the best season to observe the different species of birds seeking refuge in their homes. Therefore, on February 27 at 1 pm there will be a participatory activity to learn about the way of life of the small animals that coexist in El Aboreto.
Escape Woods Arboretums
The most adventurous families will not hesitate to sign up for this guided tour on February 28 on Mount Abantos. From 11 a.m. onwards, they will solve riddles and solve entertaining tests to break a curse, while even the little ones will learn about the history of this mountain.
Trees in painting
Travelling through history and art has never been so easy. On February 28 at 1 p.m., a guided tour will be offered to observe the representation of trees throughout the different periods and styles.
These are just a few examples, but there are many more activities that you can consult in the Activities Program to choose the ones you like the most.
