Music through the 'Festival Música Antigua Aranjuez', cinema with the route 'Madrid, capital de las series', sport with the bike ride in the Sierra Norte and the long-awaited San Silvestre Vallecana race, and a fun reading workshop for the little ones, is what we propose this week with our short list of virtual plans. Choose your favourite!
The Teatro Real Carlos III de Aranjuez surprised us on 22 November with the 'XXVII Festival Música Antigua Aranjuez 2020', which will take place until 13 December. This is a date with Spanish music, which began in 1994 and which, organised by the Region of Madrid, the Aranjuez Town Hall, National Heritage, INAEM and under the direction of Javier Estrella from Címbalo Producciones, invites you to discover music in its purest form. If you still haven't had the chance to enjoy the scheduled concerts, don't miss the ones that will take place on December 5th with Andrés Alberto Gómez, and on the 13th with the string trios in Concerto 1700, since this edition allows you to attend without leaving your home thanks to its streaming offer. Are you going to miss it?
Explore the Sierra Norte of Madrid virtually by bike, and let yourself be surprised by this video, not only by the beauty of its landscapes but by the presence of culture where art is presented through the works of Berrutti and Charo Villa, in museums, such as those dedicated to the great Picasso or the Biscayan artist Ramon de Vargas, or in its monuments, but without forgetting the gastronomy with authentic mountain dishes, and the rest areas to contemplate the landscape. This and much more, from the comfort of your home, to start preparing your next outdoor getaway in our region.
Plans with kids
The youngest members of the family will probably miss the libraries where they can choose their literary adventures, which is why the Madrid City Council is offering the virtual workshop 'Leyendo cuentos diciembre', an activity designed for children between the ages of 6 and 9, where they can choose their favourite story from among the proposals. To register, you only have to fill in this form indicating the day you want to participate, and the own library will provide you with the link you have to activate on your computer, tablet or mobile, to connect through the ZOOM application. The places are limited, don't miss yours!
Discover the most cinematographic Madrid with the route 'Madrid, capital de series', which includes nine series that have been shot mostly in the capital: 'La casa de papel', 'El Ministerio del Tiempo', 'Elite', 'Paquita Salas', 'Velvet', 'Las chicas del cable', 'Gigantes', 'Estoy vivo' and 'Vergüenza'. It's a real journey through the most emblematic places in Madrid, which you can now see in streaming through the main online platforms.
Say goodbye 2020!! by participating in this particular edition of the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana Experience, which, due to the health crisis we have been experiencing for months, has changed its format and invites us to run between 26 and 31 December where and when you choose. With the aim that no 'runner' should miss the most popular race in Spain, an application has been designed, which invites runners to participate in training plans, challenges, exclusive contents and even meetings with the most relevant athletes, among other activities. But there's even more, as one more year this race has the objective of fighting against childhood cancer and collecting food, so with your registration, you will get your 'solidarity number' 'solidarity number' and you will be able to contribute a bit more. This year more than ever, you can't miss it!
