Cervantes Train 2019

Last May, began a new edition of the well-known Cervantes Train. In case you haven't heard of it yet, it's a tourist train that will take you to Alcalá de Henares on a unique journey in which you'll travel with such illustrious passengers as Don Quixote, Sancho Panza, Christopher Columbus, or Isabel the Catholic, among others. Find out for yourself!

All aboard!

This week, we propose you to travel in the Cervantes Train, a classic that every year goes from Atocha station in Madrid to Alcalá de Henares, birthplace of our most universal writer: Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.

This year, the performing arts will be highlighted both during the journey and at the destination, as a group of actors dressed in period clothes will accompany the travellers and once at the destination, characters from the city such as Cisneros or Manuel Azaña, will invite them to get to know Alcalá, visiting different buildings and emblematic places such as the Church of Santa María, the Plaza de Cervantes or the Archbishop's Palace, among others.

The trip will depart from Atocha every Saturday until 13 July at 10.45 am, with the return from Alcalá station at 6.30 pm. It will be necessary to wait until 14 September, after the summer break, in order to take part in the autumn-winter season, which will last until 21 December.

You can purchase your ticket from this link, which will have a price of €22 for adults, €16 for children from 7 to 11 years, except if accompanied by two adults, in which case will travel free. The ticket includes travel, sightseeing and access to museums.

Summer is coming, and with it different activities to do in family, with friends, as a couple... it's up to you!
