Since last year, the rail transport network provides its users the opportunity to learn more about the region exploring it thanks to the program 'Enjoy Madrid from north to south: Discover your monuments by regional railway'. The suburban lines C-2 and C-7, will take you to Alcalá de Henares. There you can walk along the wall, the Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace among others, even know the Roman City of Complutum. The C-3 line lets you know the monuments of Real Sitio de Aranjuez, whose natural environment was recognized in 2001 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Cultural Landscape. The Royal Palace, the Labrador House or Prince's Garden are just a small sample of the wonders that you will see.

With the C-8b line you will reach Cercedilla, a municipality located at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama, in the Regional Park of Cuenca Alta del Manzanares, whose location has made it one of the largest natural areas protected by the Region of Madrid. You will access to Colmenar Viejo through the line C-4, where both its historical heritage and its deposits will not leave you indifferent.

Once again we got into the line C-4, this time to know the Madrid town of Getafe and thus know its interesting heritage, which dates back to the fourteenth century. We ended our trip in Mostoles, locality to which you arrive through the C-5 line, which is currently known as the capital city of the so-called 'Big Sur'.
