Madrid theme parks are open to offer the little ones a summer full of fun in their attractions, workshops, camps, shows… They can even meet their favourite cartoon character at one of these places!

WARNER PARK

The park is divided into different theme areas, each one with its special themed attractions and shows: Hollywood Boulevard, Cartoon Village, Old West Territory, DC Super Heroes World and Warner Bros. Studios.

Live all the magic of the movies with the new night show by the Lake with performances of their most famous characters, like Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird, Superman or Batman. 15 minutes of lights, water, laser, and music that will make a magic closure of your wonderful day.

MADRID AMUSEMENT PARK (Parque de Atracciones)

This summer you can meet the Nickelodeon characters SpongeBob, Patrick Star and Dora the Explorer at Parque de Atracciones. If you hear a voice saying: who lives in a pineapple shape house under the sea? You know that it’s him and his friends. You can bump into them at anytime and anywhere while you’re having a walk. You can talk to them, laugh with their jokes and take some pictures with them. They make 6 appearances a day. The Amusement Park is full of surprises for the kids.

Children can also enjoy the show of Coco and Pepe, one of the most well-know characters of Cantajuegos. They perform twice a day on Saturdays and Sundays, playing the old songs everybody knows and new ones.

There are still more surprises and activities in the Park this summer: the Gormiti Show, the new rollercoaster for all the family “TNT Train of the Mine”, and the closing show “Moonlight” with water, lights and laser.

FAUNIA

Faunia, the biological theme park that houses more than 4.000 animals at its 140 hectare, combines an educational proposal with entertainment. It is a very interesting experience, it’s not only a zoo, there you can see, hear and feel the animals.

There are a lot of amazing and didactic experiences you can join: there is a big lake where you can interact with the pelicans, feed them and learn about its conservation; you can have a bath, wearing neoprene suits, with fur seals in the swimming pool; meet the wallabies and emus in a no barrier space; visit a Polar Ecosystem and the Jungle; join its summer camps, and a lot more.

Summer camps are available for kids (3 to13 years old) from 25 June to 7 September. This summer there will be “animal tracking”, “recycling” and “senses” workshops, “thematic days”… and even children will have the opportunity to learn English or French (in cooperation with Alliance Française and Pueblo Inglés). These camps are optional and with limited places.

MADRID ZOO AQUARIUM

The Madrid Zoo Aquarium is considered one of the most important and complete zoos of the world, as it has a zoo, an aquarium, a dolphinarium and an aviary.

You can travel around the world in Zoo Aquarium. Visit each continent: Oceania with penguins and the giant kangaroo; Asia with elephants, tigers and panda bears; Europe with brown bears, vultures and ponies; Africa shows us wonderful giraffes, rhinos and scorpions; and in America we’ll discover the secrets of the seafloor and ocean species.

They also organise great summer camps from 25 June to 7 September, where children can have fun learning about the biology and characteristics of the animals, or feeding them with the help of the zookeepers. Every week, the subject of the camp changes. You can have more info here.
