The blissful Sagrario (Carmelo Alcántara), the thoughtless Paloma (Juan Ramón Pérez), Justa (Fernando Navas) and the servant Dolores (Pino Luzardo) are crazy about Pepe ‘The Neapolitan’. They are the characters of the last work of the company from the Canaries 'Profetas de Mueble Bar'. Locas por Pepe ‘El napolitano’ (Crazy about Pepe ‘The Neapolitan’) by Juan de la Cruz is a comic drama inspired by "The House of Bernarda Alba" by Federico García Lorca. Paloma and Sagrado live in Bernarda Alba's house, they are two sisters until now unknown, who are torn between the desire for freedom and repression, between hatred and the silence imposed by the code of Bernarda, an asphyxiating ghost, who continues ruling the destinies of the home. This cool, funny and imaginative staging has as main characters the memory of Bernarda and Pepe 'The Neapolitan'. The work subverts genres and styles. Theatre, grief and sorrow are mixed with humorous situations and traditional Spanish songs (copla), prevailing over all what ever was banned in Bernarda Alba's house: the love.
