The Agustín Lara square will be the folkloric and modern dances’ stage. Seventeen companies, composed by 150 international artists will be responsible for moving you to the heart of this Asiatic country.

Patricia Passo and her prestigious school Fusión Art will inaugurate the programme on the 3rd of June at 8.30 p.m. While, Sunny Singh and his company Bailamos Bollywood (We dance Bollywood) will close the event on Saturday at 9 p.m.

The artist from Calcutta Sohini Roychowdhury, considered the first Bh aratanatyam dancer in the World, will play as headliner captaining the international group Sohinimoksha on Sunday at 7.30 p.m.

The British choreograph Mistri, Bollywood’s anchor; will close the festival on 5th of June at 8.30 p.m., accompanied by the cast of famous musical Sueños de Bollywood (Dreams of Bollywood).

This square will also host cinematographic premieres on the open air and typical dishes for only 1 euro. Fifty exhibitors of Gastronomic Days will be at Agustín Lara and Lavapiés squares.

Taste India, beyond BollyMadrid

A Tajmahal model shows you that here you can eat delicious Indian food. We’re talking about Taj (Marqués de Cubas 6), a restaurant that you don’t have to miss to taste a good tandoori Chicken or a lamb tikka in the madrileña capital, maybe after you have seen a beautiful sunset from the Círculo de Bellas Artes roof terrace.

The Mumbai Massala's (Recoletos 14) decoration, with a wall full of Bollywood movies’ posters, from today and yesterday, lets no doubt: here you can accompany every kind of spices with a Kingfisher or Cobra beer.

On Saturdays and Sundays you can eat an Indian brunch that consists in a appetizers’ assortment, among we find cheese rolls or spinach croquettes, chicken, grilled meat with chapati bread, rice and sweet.

At the central 4th, Alcalá Street coriander and curry aromas will make stopping you at Nirvana restaurant. At 6th, Duque de Osuna Street, situated at one of the Madrid’s areas where we find lots of international restaurants, Delhi offers authentic Indian dishes. “Every dish has the only flavour that reflects the more than 7.000 years of spices’ influence in the Indian gastronomy”, that’s its inviting presentation.

Swagat (Alonso Heredia 22) welcomes you, as its name indicates, at Diego de León area. It is specialized on food of Northern India, such as chicken tikka or curry chickens and lamb, accompanied by tasty rice, and it is in a cosy place, decorated by traditional paintings and objects.

Swagat has prepared caterings for the Indian Embassy in Madrid, the Meliá Castilla hotel, the Palace Hotel or the Miguel Ángel Hotel. It is a good option if are looking for a great little Indian corner in the capital.

At Lavapiés’ squares or at an elegant restaurant of downtown, your journey to India in Madrid will be very tasty.
