The gastronomy joins the cinema and the glamour to pay tribute to the film world with ‘Secuencias de cine en formato gourmet’, a possibility of enjoying the tasting menu of the InterContinental Hotel in collaboration with Paramount Pictures Corporation and DreamWorks Animation. Exquisite and original, these sequences, inspired by some of the most important films of the distributor, have been created by the chef José Luque of the El jardín InterContinental restaurant and you can taste them every Wednesday of May and June at 9p.m. For 39 euro you can taste a croissant with the diamond of the kitchen and feel like Audrey Hepburn at the Tiffany’s window and an Irish coffee of the Prohibition without Whisky and coffee, while you remember Sean Connery playing his role in ‘The Untouchables’. Canned, as the soldiers used to eat in the Normandy coast, are served the oysters of this zone, where Tom Hanks arrived to ‘Saving Private Ryan’. The steak tartar with Manchego cheese, crispy bacon and slices of bread symbolizes de American dream that the main character of ‘Flashdance’ pursues. The computer-animated action-comedy 'Kung Fu Panda' will be represented by a third tapa of Soba noodles with vegetables, ginger, lemon grass. Hard and soft as Richard Gere’s character in ‘An officer and a Gentleman’ will be the scallops in tempura, wasabi mayonnaise and soya sauce served as one of the main dishes. The other, Tournedos of veal with dried fruits, refers to the passage of time, one of the main topics in the movie ‘Sunset Boulevard’. A chocolate cigar filled with milk chocolate mousse and a glass of grappa will close this tasting in the style of ‘The Godfather’.
