Day 1

10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. It doesn’t matter which football team you support. If you are passionate for football and you are in Madrid, you cannot miss a guided tour in Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and feel yourself like a football player in the trophy exhibition hall.

alt 12:00-02:00 p.m. Go along the Paseo de la Castellana until you get Colón Square. Have a walk in the Descubrimiento Gardens and find out the Serrano street, one of the most exclusive one in the capital, or visit the Archaeological Museum, where you will be able to admire a reproduction of the Altamira’s Caves.

02:00 -04:00 p.m. It’s time to have lunch in one of the restaurants or taverns and after a delicious meal perhaps you can have a ‘siesta’ (nap) in order to get oneself the strength back.

04:00-08:00 p.m. In the afternoon we can have some shopping hours in Salamanca’s neighbourhood. Just in one square kilometre is the 'Golden Mile': the Mecca of the luxury, fashion and glamour in Madrid. Top Spanish and international brands and designers are here for you. You can buy the most trendy and fashionable clothes to show off in the evening.

08:00-09:00 p.m. Taste some tapas: discover the Spanish omelette snack, enjoy a portion of cured Iberian ham (jamón ibérico) and have a fresh caña of beer (little beer) or a glass of red wine. After this, we are ready for the Madrilenian night. We can go to Alonso Martínez, Malasaña or Chueca. After some bars, we can go to the city centre and get into famous discos that are opening until the first twilight.

Day 2

alt
10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Culture is our star in our second morning in Madrid. We can visit the Thyssen-Bornemisza Musseum, an art gallery that houses a thousand paintings from great masters from the 13th century to the 20th century. After the visit, go to the Cibeles Square, and take some photos, walk along the Gran Vía and look for a typical souvenir, then continue walking along Alcalá Street, take a picture of the Oso y el Madroño monument in Puerta del Sol, try a squid sandwich in the Plaza Mayor and taste the tapas in the Saint Miguel Market (Mercado de San Miguel).

04:00 09:00 p.m. After a delicious meal in a traditional restaurant in the Habsburg neighbourhood, we can have a coffee at the Oriente Square (Plaza de Oriente). After the majesty of the Royal Palace and the Almudena’s Cathedral, the freshness of Sabatini Gardens and the quiet sunset at the Temple of Debod (Templo de Debod) will be the best plans for an afternoon in Madrid. In the evening you must enjoy a musical play at one of the theatres located in the Gran Vía, the Madrilenian Broadway.

Day 3

alt 09:00 a.m.- 04:00 p.m. Located 30 kilometres away from Madrid is the city Alcalá de Henares, a nice excursion for our last day in the Community of Madrid. You have to visit its University, its Mayor Street (Calle Mayor) or the Cervantes’ Museum and Birthplace and admire the flight of dozens of storks. After the visits you can tapear in the city centre or enjoy a meal at the Parador Hostería del Estudiante, located in an old school-convent from the 17th century.

04:00-06:00 p.m. Come back to the capital. It’s time to relax in the Retiro Park. Take some pictures at the lake or at the Glass Palace(Palacio de Cristal). Did you know that there is a monument dedicated to the devil? Discover it!.

06:00 p.m.-09:00 p.m. What about some shopping in the last hours in the capital? You can choose among different neighbourhoods or you can try some malls or outlets outside Madrid: the Plaza Norte mall, or Xanadú, that has an spectacular ski indoor run; or Las Rozas Village, are some of the options that Madrid offers you. Happy shopping!!.
