You are finalizing preparations to attend a prestigious trade fair that takes place in our city and you have no time to plan your stay in Madrid. Don't worry, we are going to tell you where you can stay and where you can enjoy your leisure time. Because man does not live by business alone!

Near IFEMA hotels

If you prefer to book a hotel near the exhibition centre in the capital, Pullman Madrid Airport and Feria is a good choice, as it is located next to IFEMA and five minutes from Barajas Airport.

A similar characteristic has the Campo de las Naciones Novotel. It also offers free access to gym and Spa (5 minutes away) and has a play area for children, if you plan to take the days of the fair to visit Madrid with your family.

The four-star hotel Osuna also has a playground and if you want to take your pet with you in the trip to the capital, this hotel allows pets entry. All rooms are decorated in Spanish style, in which light plays an important role, tripling by the soft colour of the walls and blue and orange textiles, creating a sense of balance and wellbeing.

The Meliá Avenida de América houses a new Wellness Center, a true temple of wellbeing and relaxation, 1000 square meters available to your health, through facial and body treatments, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, fitness, solarium ... Do you feel well best business travel like this? Don’t you?

Zenit Conde de Orgaz, with professional meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 120 people and fully equipped with the latest technology, is another hotel to consider if you want to stay in the area of IFEMA.

Around city centre

If you prefer to be in the heart of the city, no problem; we show you some luxury hotels, ideal to combine your business trip with your moments of well earned rest.

NH Palacio de Tepa is a nineteenth-century aristocratic mansion restored, with every comfort and a tempting menu of pampering. Its location in the neighbourhood of Las Letras, you will get away more easily for a drink under the stars in the Penthouse of the Mé Madrid Reina Victoria or go to see exhibitions of contemporary art that usually hosts the Reina Sofía Museum.

Would you like to see Reina Sofía Museum photographs of Jean-Luc Mylaine and to walk around Retiro? Come to the Palacio de Velázquez and book a room at AC Palacio del Retiro. This 5-star hotel occupies the premises of a traditional building in the early twentieth century, National Heritage. It preserves the original mouldings, the floors, windows and carpets made by the Royal Tapestry Factory. If you travel with your partner, all February weekends you have a promotion that includes a bottle of champagne, chocolates and Late Check out until 02.00 p.m..

Nearby there is one of the hottest after works at the moment: Ramses. Take a gin and tonic, while contemplate the neo-baroque decoration of the bar; the author is the famous interior designer Philippe Starck.

Letting ourselves be guided once again by the present exhibitions of contemporary art these days in Madrid, we recommend the hotel Vincci Gran Vía 66. From there you're one step from the Sala Alcalá 31, where you can see the first solo exhibition in Spain of Yinka Shonibare, distinguished in 2005 as Member of the Order of the British Empire, MBE.

With its large glass dome in the luxurious noble, also enclosed courtyards and domes made of marble, natural stone, wood and glass worker and a business centre, María Elena Palace, in the district of Sol, is one of ideal palces to combine your business appointments with your free time.

For the evening: art, concerts and dj session at Café Galdos. These days the walls of the bar dress the oriental paints by Ashida Yumi, pop rock, jazz and bossa or acoustic pop up compose its proposals for live music and electronic sounds are the notes with which Galdós Café entertains your weekends.

Housed in a building from the early twentieth century, with a lovely decoration that combines classical and modern plays of light, H10 Villa de la Reina has three rooms for you to make your professional events and it is situated in the Gran Via, "the street that never sleeps".

In Triball, Chueca or Salamanca, cool plans for cool people

Behind Gran Via there is Triball, an area of reference for your cool shop and fusion cuisine, to drink a tasty cocktail or to live the Madrid's nightlife.

El Beso (calle Loreto y Chicote 9), that has joined the multispaces craze is a design shop, an exhibition hall and a school. Here you will find shirts, dresses, blouses and accessories with original design and also you can admire the exhibition Circus by Ricardo Cavola.

At Corredera Baja de San Pablo Street we find another Circus, a local with summer air, reminiscent of the city of Buenos Aires, where you can eat tapas as tortilla (Spanish omelette), Spanish sausage or potatoes.

If you're looking for traditional tastes mixed with the most innovative cuisine, we suggest you to go to Taberna Agrado. After dinner, right in front, it is "Santamaría, the next cocktail bar", if you dare it, drink a gin tonic with pepper!

Do you want to dance? Go to Demodé, the dj plays good electronic music.

In Chueca you could have a drink on the terrace roof of Room Mate Óscar Hotel. Its design is by the designer Tomas Aliá, do not miss the chance to admire his work!

Still in the neighbourhood of the gay community there is another multi-shop: Isolee. Sets of beauty, fashion brands and street sports, and outdoor footwear, home décor products design, all kinds of accessories: hats, belts, bags, a wide variety of Taschen books, libraries, guides travel and limited editions, and of course, gifts and delicatessen.

In Salamanca (Claudio Coello 55) there is another centre of the firm, which is equipped with a champagne bar. And if you want to continue eating in a unique way, maybe you could try a white wine with oysters at Ostradivarius, the newly opened seafood restaurant that serves you as a tapa this seafood if you order a glass of wine.

Salamnaca is the neighbourhood where the milla de oro (golden mile) is located and also the main art galleries in the capital and several restaurants awarded wth Michelin stars.

One of them is Kabuki Wellington, specializing in Kabuki gastronomy, or the meeting point between the Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine, which combines the Japanese respect with the Spanish hospitality.

The sushi man Ricardo Sanz and the pastry chef Oriol Balaguer will be happy to show you what this innovative concept is.

If you want to be faithful to the traditional flavours, try one of the dishes of the El Paraguas, located in Jorge Juan, a street full of bars that serves the most demanding palate.

Your "business trip" is ready. You only need to review well your schedule of activities before the fair.
