• Northern route through the Late Middle Ages (2 days)

Regional routes

• The Madrid Alfoz (Outskirts) Route (5 days)
  This suggestion is for a trip round the towns closest to the capital of Spain. Please allow us to explain the meaning of the mediaeval word "alfoz", which is a "rural district or area of a city depending on the municipal authorities of that city".
• Guadarrama River Basin-North (1-2 days)
  This route starts at the town of Moralzarzal, in the valley of the Guadarrama River, and ends at the Navacerrada Pass. Between both these points, the route runs through Alpedrete, Collado Mediano, Guadarrama, Los Molinos, Cercedilla and a visit to La Fuenfría Valley...
• Guadarrama Basin-South Route (2/3 days)
  The south route suggested to complete the Guadarrama basin starts in the town of El Escorial, goes past the Valmayor reservoir and ends at the shrine of Navahonda, very close to a Space Observation Station.
• Route through the main squares in the Region (3/4 days)
  With this route we invite you to discover the towns and villages of the agricultural region irrigated by the Jarama and Tajuña Rivers as they pass through the southeast of the Region. Don’t forget that in any of these villages it is easy to purchase fruit, vegetables and wines from the local area, which will delight any palate.
